Mexico booked their ticket to the CONCACAF Nations League Semifinal and the 2025 Gold Cup by crushing Honduras with a 4-0 win. Mexico had lost by a 2-0 score in the first match in San Pedro Sula and needed to score twice without allowing a goal to go to extra time and three goals to go thru, just as long as Honduras didn’t get the very important away goal. Mexico now will face off against Canada in the Semifinals of the Nations League while Honduras has to play in the playoffs for a ticket to next year’s Gold Cup.
