Mexico have finally made it official and have appointed former Atlanta United manager Gerardo “Tata” Martino as their new coach to replace Juan Carlos Osorio, the Mexican Federation announced on Monday.
The Mexican Federation had been looking for a new coach since Juan Carlos Osorio rejected a contract extension back in July.
Gerardo “Tata” Martino last coached Atlanta United of Major League Soccer where he won the MLS Cup in December.
“From the part of my coaching staff and I, I want to thank those who offered to put this project in front of us,” said Martino in his unveiling.
