The Mexican Football Federation announced the participation of Mexico’s U17 National team in the 2025 Torneo del Sol Tournament to be held from January 5th to 11th. The 2024 edition had been and U20 tournament but because of the U17 World Cup qualifiers taking place in February, this time it will be an U17 tournament, which will also have three other national teams. Mexico was placed in Group A along with Chivas de Guadalajara, Seleccion Centro and Seleccion Monarca. The top two teams in the Group will qualify to the Quarterfinals. They tournament will take place in the FMF headquarters in Toluca.
