Mexico announce squad for U17 World Cup qualifiers

Mexico has announced the squad that will take part in the 2025 U17 World Cup Qualifiers. Mexico is in Group C which will be hosted in Toluca in the Federacion Mexicana de Futbol. Only the winner of the group qualifies to the U17 World Cup. Mexico will play against Dominica, Belize, Barbados and Nicaragua.

Coach Carlos Cariño made the following call up list for the tournament:

Goalkeepers: Santiago Lopez (Toluca), Abdon Turrubiantes (Leon), Saaed Martinez (Tigres)

Defenders: Omar Bolaños (Houston Dynamo), Adrian Villa (Pachuca), Thomas Cerecero (Leon), Jhonnatan Grajales (Chivas), Michael Corona (Leon), Jose Navarro (Pachuca),

Midfielders: Saulo Tejeda (San Diego Surf), Daniel Nuñez (Portland Timbers), Gael Garcia (Chivas), Jorge Sanchez (Monterrey), Kenneth Esquivel (FC Juarez), Emiliano Rodriguez (Chivas),

Forwards: Maximo Reyes (Santos Laguna), Aldo De NIgris Jr (Monterrey), Viggo Ortiz (Charleston Battery), Luis Gamboa (Atlas), Juan Lopez (FC Juarez)

Mexico will open the tournament facing off against Dominica on February 9th.
