The players, who made contact with referees during midweek cup games, were given long bans, but the refs are still ready to walk out.

The Liga MX Disciplinary Committee has suspended three players and decided one will not receive further punishment from separate incidents, it announced Friday night, but Liga MX referees are still set to strike during Round 10.

"The Mexican Association of Referees will not be present in Round 10 of Liga MX, fighting for respect within the field of play," said a tweet from an account several media outlets have cited as official.
