Mexican Federation plans on renewing Juan Carlos Osorio’s contract

According to Mexican sports website Mediotiempo, the Mexican Federation is looking to renew Juan Carlos Osorio’s contract for another four years. Osorio’s contract ran until the end of the 2018 World Cup, and following El Tri’s Round of 16 elimination at the hands of Brazil, there has been plenty of talk of teams interested in signing the 56-year-old tactician.

The news comes as a meeting between the Colombian and new Mexican Federation president Yon de Luisa is said to be in the plans, but the report states that ultimately the final decision rests on Osorio, who is rumored to have interest from both the United States Men’s National Team and Colombia.
