Ruud van Nistelrooy has been talking about Lionel Messi and reckons no other player comes close to the Barcelona captain.
Messi was named on the 30-man shortlist for the 2019 Ballon d’Or on Monday and could pick up the award for the sixth time when the winner is announced on December 2.
Van Nistelrooy offered his thoughts on the GOAT on Dutch television and explained just how highly he rates the 32-year-old.
“No one comes close to Messi, tell me who: Cristiano is a scorer, Iniesta is a brain, Salah, Mané, Hazard and Mbappé are excellent players, but Messi is all that together,” he said.
