AC Milan have confirmed M’Baye Niang suffered injuries in a car accident over the weekend.
A statement from the Serie A club confirmed injuries to the 21-year-old forward's ankle and shoulder, although the severity of the problems was not made clear, per Fooball Italia: "AC Milan communicates that M’Baye Niang has suffered an injury to the capsular ligament in his left ankle, as well as bruising to his left shoulder following a car accident. The treatment plan will be decided upon in the coming days."
The report added that it has been "made clear" Niang was not under the influence of alcohol when he was involved in the car accident.
