Matheus Injury: Updates on Dnipro Forward's Status and Recovery

Dnipro star Matheus left the pitch on a stretcher during his team's Europa League final against Sevilla just before the final whistle after suddenly collapsing, a scary sight after what had been a fantastic match of football.

Matheus Collapses During Europa League Final

Kick TV shared news of the sudden collapse, hoping the 32-year-old was all right:

Best wishes to Dnipro's Matheus, who collapsed just before full-time in Warsaw. Scary scenes. #EuropaLeague

Fans inside the stadium held their breath, unsure of what was going on, but as shared by Football Espana, TV replays showed the midfielder had been involved in a head-to-head clash earlier, possibly explaining the cause of his sudden collapse:

He's being taken off the pitch and TV replays are showing an incident a little earlier when he was involved in a clash of heads

The player appeared to be responsive as he was stretchered off, a positive sign after the initial scare.
