A good solid win by Club Santos, downing Chivas 3-0 with goals from Brian Lozano, Matheus Doría, and Julio Furch. Jonathan Orozco also made five stops to get his first shutout of the season.
Santos looked like the better side early, holding possession and taking the game to Chivas. In the 11th minute, Brian Lozano would hit a free kick that would ring off of the post. Minutes later, Chivas would get a chance of their own when Eduardo “Chofis” López was able to direct a header toward goal that was cleared out by the Santos defense. In the 24th minute, Alan Pulido ripped a shot from long range that Jonathan Orozco saw the entire way and easily made the save on.
