Massive injury blow for Klopp, Liverpool player ruled out for 9 months

New Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been dealt a massive injury blow after it was confirmed that centre back Joe Gomez has picked a ligament injury.

Scans have shown that there is considerable damage to the player’s cruciate ligament and according to Express, he could be out for 6-9 months.

The young defender arrived from Charlton this summer and started three of Liverpool’s opening games. The England U21 international has been one of the few bright sparks from Brendan Rodgers’ reign this season.

Gomez limped off with an injury against Kazakhstan in the midweek.
