Barcelona have confirmed they have exercised their option to sign Marlon Santos and the defender has penned a three-year deal at Camp Nou.
The Brazilian joined Barcelona B from Fluminense last summer and went on to make 24 appearances as well as being called up to the first-team by Luis Enrique.
Marlon made his debut against Celtic in the Champions League and ended up playing the final two Liga games of the season against Las Palmas and Eibar.
The Brazilian could now join the first-team for pre-season next month although should Barcelona B gain promotion it may be the case that he stays with them, initially at least.
