Mario Balotelli has been caught speeding in Brescia and had his driving license confiscated, according to reports.
Italian news agency ANSA confirmed the story after local newspaper Il Giornale di Brescia (h/t Ben Gladwell of ESPN FC) had initially broke the news. It’s claimed the Milan forward, currently on loan from Liverpool, was on the road in a residential area with a 50 kph speed limit but was driving his Lamborghini over 90 kph.
As noted by football-italia.net, according to Il Giornale di Brescia, Balotelli accepted the charge calmly, insisting he did not realise what the speed limit was; now he will be suspended from driving until local authorities make a final decision on the matter.
