Chivas midfielder Marco Fabian scored the only goal of the game in the second half to down Atlas 1-0 in the Clasico Tapatio on Wednesday.
Fabian, who scored a hattrick in the last Clasico Tapatio, struck his thrid goal of the campaign in the 77th minute, a right-footed free-kick that beat Atlas goalkeeper Miguel Angel Fraga.
Chivas' sixth triumph has kept them 13th in the Liga MX table heading into the international break, but with Veracruz's scoreless draw at Dorados on Tuesday, the Rebaño Sagrado failed to make it consecutive appearances in the Liguilla.
Matias Almeydas' side will now close out the season against Santos Laguna, while Atlas will do the same versus Xolos de Tijuana.
