Former Barcelona striker Marc Guiu is being linked with a swift return to La Liga following his summer move to Chelsea.
Guiu has reportedly been told by new Blues boss Enzo Maresca to go out on loan, with Espanyol emerging as a potential destination, according to reports.
Espanyol were promoted back to La Liga last season after beating Real Oviedo in the promotion play-offs and are in need of another attacker.
Former Barcelona striker Martin Braithwaite is set to leave, after triggering his own release clause to become a free agent, and Guiu could be his replacement.
