Marc Casado has pulled out of the Spain squad for Nations League fixtures against the Netherlands due to a knee injury and amid speculation he could be out for the season.
Diario Sport are reporting Casado has “a tear of the external lateral ligament” and will miss more than two months of action for Hansi Flick’s side. Relevo have a similar update and believe his season may be over already.
Barcelona have issued an update on Casado and insist more tests are needed before a diagnosis can be confirmed.
“Tests this morning revealed that first-team player Marc Casadó has a ligament injury in his right knee.
