Manchester United have reportedly met officials of Benfica for the second time, as a January transfer of star midfielder Renato Sanches seems to be edging closer.
According to Simon Jones and Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail, the Red Devils are eager to come to an agreement before the summer and avoid a possible bidding war with other clubs. Sanches has a £60 million buyout clause, but Benfica is expected to sell for roughly half of that, with add-ons.
The 18-year-old midfielder has enjoyed a meteoric rise to stardom in the 2015-16 season, eclipsing team-mate and fellow starlet Goncalo Guedes after only making his debut in October.
