Manchester United are reportedly considering a bid for Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann in the wake of their deal for Pedro collapsing.
So reports Simon Jones of the Daily Mail, who highlights the Frenchman's £56 million release clause as an obstacle to his signature, though the Daily Star's Colin Harvey notes he "could be available for less."
Griezmann shone in his debut year at the Vicente Calderon, netting 25 times in all competitions as well as adding six assists. The forward's goalscoring took a prolific turn, with his tally equating to almost half of the 52 goals he scored for Real Sociedad in a quarter of the appearances.
