Manchester United star’s exit is closer after club confirms talks

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is edging closer towards Old Trafford exit after Fenerbahce confirmed talks with the player and the English club.

The 31-year-old has one year left on his contract and the Dutchman admitted that he needs to play regular football during the 2015-16 season in order to make it to the national squad for next summer’s European championship.

Van Persie’s agent early denied his client will leave Louis van Gaal’s side. He joined the first team for the pre-season training on 6 July. However, it looks like his time at Old Trafford has come to an end as he is close to completing a switch to Fenerbahce.
