Manchester United determined to keep hold of De Gea beyond transfer window

Manchester United are determined to keep hold of goalkeeper David de Gea from the clutches of Real Madrid, at least for one more year.

The 24-year-old has one year left on his contract and has refused to sign a new deal. He has set his sights on returning to his homeland as the former Atletico Madrid man wants to join his former club’s local rivals.

According to BBC’s Simon Stone, United are adamant to keep hold of their player, unless Real pay a world-record fee in signing a goalkeeper. Juventus paid Parma £32.
