Louis van Gaal has revealed he can't understand a word his Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney says.
"When I speak, I am well articulated," Van Gaal told Dutch TV, via the Mirror. "If you put Wayne Rooney here in the seat, and you start talking to him, do you think people can understand Wayne Rooney? You simply can't understand what he says."
However, the Manchester United boss did have some good news for Rooney, claiming he is one of the best players he has ever worked with.
Coming from a man who has managed Ajax, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Netherlands sides including players such as Luis Figo, Ronaldo, Arjen Robben and Bastian Schweinsteiger, that's quite a compliment.
