Well, it wasn't entirely convincing from City in the end but they got the job done and it was their substitutes who did it for them. Sterling came on for Bernardo Silva and opened the scoring, before the England international set up his compatriot Foden for the hosts' second late on. Take Sterling out of the game, however, and City were sloppy in attack. They had lots of chances but couldn't find that killer touch. As for Zagreb, they did a commendable job in sitting deep and defending inside their own box for most of the game, but they were finally undone and City deserve the three points.
