Man City postpone Arsenal clash over coronavirus fears

Manchester City have confirmed a decision to postpone Wednesday's Premier League clash with Arsenal over coronavirus fears.

The match, which had already been delayed due to respective cup commitments, is the latest European fixture to be interrupted by COVID-19.

The decision to postpone the game was made after it was revealed Arsenal staff had come into contact with Olympiacos owner, Evangelos Marinakis, who has been diagnosed with coronavirus.

"Manchester City’s Premier League fixture at home to Arsenal has been postponed," a club statement read.

"The decision to postpone tonight's game has been taken as a precautionary measure on medical advice, after it emerged that personnel from Arsenal FC have come into contact with the Olympiacos owner, Evangelos Marinakis, who has been named as a positive case of COVID-19.
