Manchester City have made a formal approach to sign West Ham’s highly rated teenage star Reece Oxford.
According to reports from the Telegraph, City have made contact on Monday night for the 17-year-old who is also wanted by a host of Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.
City’s scouts have been watching the West Ham youngster during the recent Under 19 European Championships and probably are impressed with his performances so far.
Back in December last year, The Times reported that Manchester United were preparing an “audacious bid” for the youngster.
