Dani Olmo has had quite the first season back at Barcelona following his return to the club in the summer from RB Leipzig.
The Spain star has impressed for Hansi Flick’s side but has suffered a series of frustrating injury setbacks and has also had the threat of being deregistered hanging over him.
During the winter, when Barca were trying desperately to find a way to register him for the second half of the season, Olmo also had Manchester City on the phone.
According to Diario Sport, Pep Guardiola’s side made contact and would have been happy to have taken him off Barcelona’s hands.
