South Africa international Phakamani Mahlambi’s future remains uncertain after the player was not registered by Al Ahly for the upcoming campaign.
There has been a lot of speculation in recent weeks surrounding the future of Mahlambi after it was reported that Al Ahly had filled up their foreign quota.
Reports doing the rounds, have suggested that the player may be considering a return to South Africa with Mamelodi Sundowns seen as the forerunners.
However, with a new coach at the helm of the Egyptian giant in Patrice Carteron, it was believed that the Frenchman would first take a good look at the 20-year-old before making a decision.
