Louis van Gaal Blasts US Pitches Being Used 'For One Direction Concerts'

Manchester United opened their pre-season tour of the United States with a 1-0 win over Club America in theInternational Champions Cup.

The match was played at Seattle's CenturyLink Field, and while United boss Louis van Gaal was impressed with the facilities, he was certainly not impressed with the pitch.

As noted by the MailOnline, "Grass [was] laid over the top of astroturf just two nights after pop group One Direction had played a concert at the venue."

Van Gaal hinted that pitches in the United States could be dangerous:
