Around the eighth minute of tonight’s Liga MX match between Lobos BUAP and Club Tijuana Xolos, the referees stopped play because only one of the stadium’s four light towers lit, causing a good portion of the stadium to slowly be enveloped in darkness.
To be clear, this is the match that was originally scheduled to take place the day the earthquake hit Puebla - where Lobos BUAP is located - so this match has now been postponed twice. The coaches, players, and referees have since gone into the locker room while stadium officials try and get the lights turned on so that play can resume.
