Liverpool have reportedly made contact with the representatives of Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Valon Berisha after watching him in action against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Europa League round of 16.
Sport Witness referred to a report from "excellently connected" Fabain Zerche, who wrote for Austrian website Spox that Liverpool's interest in Berisha was growing amid interest from another unnamed Premier League club.
The Reds are said to be preparing to double down on their Red Bull connections, already lined up to complete a move for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita this summer, while Sadio Mane was stationed at Salzburg before he moved to Southampton in 2014.
