Liverpool have been given a 40 percent chance of signing Bayern Munich attacking midfielder Mario Gotze this summer, while the Reds or Premier league rivals Arsenal's chances of signing Granit Xhaka are rated at a more favourable 80 percent.
Those assessments come from German tabloid Bild (h/t Jack Watts of the Daily Star) in an article estimating the chances clubs in England's top flight have of sealing deals for some of the Bundesliga's brightest talents.
Both Gotze and Xhaka represent obvious needs for a Liverpool squad that needs a retuning in midfield on Jurgen Klopp's watch.
