Shakhtar Donetsk star Alex Teixeira has confirmed he wants to join Liverpool, with the player's agent reportedly still working on a deal with the Reds.
Speaking to Anfield HQ, Teixeira stated his desire to move to Anfield, with BBC Sport providing a translation: "Liverpool are a huge club. So many great players have passed through there. I want to be there. But that is up to the club president now. I can only hope. It is frustrating. So now I'm just waiting, trying to be patient."
Teixeira was appearing in Florida ahead of Shakhtar's friendly with Fort Lauderdale Strikers, according to Joe Rimmer of the Liverpool Echo.
