Liverpool have reportedly opened discussions with Shakhtar Donetsk over a move for prolific forward Alex Teixeira.
Chelsea have previously been linked with the Brazilian star, but Liverpool have now sent "a club delegation, including chief executive Ian Ayre," to Orlando, Florida to attempt to thrash out a deal, per MailOnline's Simon Jones.
The Times' Tony Barrett indicated the Reds have made a €32 million (£24.6 million) offer for the 26-year-old, although the Ukrainians are looking for nearer to €50 million (£38.5 million) if they are to sell one of their best players:
Liverpool have made a €32m offer for Alex Teixeira but Shakhtar Donetsk are seeking closer to €50m for the attacker.
