Liverpool ran out 2-0 winners over Championship side Wigan Athletic on Sunday, with Danny Ings and 16-year-old Ben Woodburn providing the goals.

1. The important return of Philippe Coutinho
In the past two summers, Liverpool have lost two key assets: Luis Suarez and Raheem Sterling to Barcelona and Manchester City, respectively. Keeping Coutinho is important for Liverpool's future and it was a pleasant sight for their travelling supporters as he made his first 2016-17 preseason appearance at the DW Stadium, having returned to the club from holiday last week after being on international duty earlier in the summer.
