Brendan Rodgers's future as Liverpool manager is under threat, but the Northern Irishman has been boosted by reports that Reds owners Fenway Sports Group have been warned off hiring Jurgen Klopp.
Former Borussia Dortmund boss Klopp is seen by many as the heir apparent to Rodgers and calls for the current Liverpool manager's dismissal have been increasing after a poor start to the season, per the Mirror's Richard Innes.
However, according to Simon Hughes in the Independent, FSG have been advised not to hire Klopp, "presumably by someone with first-hand practice of working with him.
