Steven Gerrard could be in line to face Liverpool for the first time next year after chief executive Ian Ayre acknowledged the club is considering a preseason tour of the United States in 2016.
Liverpool traveled across the Atlantic in 2014 in preparation for their Premier League campaign and is widely expected to announce a return, which could include a reunion with former captain Gerrard, who left for the LA Galaxy at the start of the season.
