Liverpool agrees to sell Borini to Sunderland

Having accepted he has no long-term future at Anfield, the 24-year-old will travel to Wearside on Monday to complete a move he turned down in the summer of 2014.

Sunderland has agreed to a deal worth 7 million pounds ($11 million) to sign out-of-favor Liverpool striker Fabio Borini, Goal UK reports.

Borini is set to travel to Wearside on Monday to undergo a medical, with the Black Cats increasingly confident they have seen off competition from Inter and Watford for his signature.

The 24-year-old spent the 2013-14 season on loan at the Stadium of Light and became a popular figure, scoring seven goals in 32 Premier League appearances to help Sunderland preserve its Premier League status.
