LIVE: Spain - England
In more recent years, games between Spain and England tend to lean more on the tight side, as in the last four matches there hasn't been more than two goals scored in a solitary fixture. The latter won the last clash between the nations in a 1-0 victory at Wembley in 2011, but prior to that La Roja had won the previous three. During qualifying, one England player also had the opportunity to have a little bit of personal glory. Against Switzerland in September, Wayne Rooney successfully converted his 50th international goal which allowed him to leapfrog Bobby Charlton as his nation's most prolific goalscorer in history.
