Lionel Messi taking a break from Argentina duty would not be a “bad thing,” according to World Cup winner Mario Kempes.
Lionel Scaloni’s side have failed to impress once again this summer at the Copa America with just one points from their first two games.
Messi took a break from international duty after the last World Cup, and Kempes says another time out could be a good idea.
“As things stand I think that giving Messi a break would not be a bad thing. Or maybe he should take a decision to have a rest.
