Liga MX Week 3 Roundup: Club America crash at Azteca, Chivas and Tigres draw even

Pachuca moved into the Liga MX's top three after they survived a late rally to down Club America 4-1 at the Estadio Azteca on Saturday.

Los Tuzos continued their bright start to the season, as a Ventura Alvarado own goal and Franco Jara gave Pachuca a 2-0 lead at the half.

Club America dully pulled within one, but Hirving Lozano and Chivas loanee Victor Guzman added to Las Aguilas' misery to run away with a memorable victory at the Azteca.

Meanwhile, Cruz Azul's frustrations endured despite taking a first-half lead over Leon. Juan Antonio Pizzi's side showed more intent in the second half, and behind two goals from Fernando Navarro, La Fiera ran away with a 3-2 thriller over Cruz Azul, who remain winless after three weeks.
