Former Santos Laguna manager Pedro Caixinha is set to return to Mexico to take over Cruz Azul, according to various reports.
The Portuguese manager won the Liga MX title with Los Guerreros but most recently was in charge of Scottish side Rangers, where he was fired after less than a year. Juan Antonio Pizzi, former Leon and Chile coach, and Francisco "Paco" Palencia, who coached Pumas, are among the other candidates.
Argentine defender Diego Novaretti and his compatriot Jorge Pereyra are out of contract at Leon and won't be returning, according to Marca Claro.
