Despite again allowing Bolivia's Universitario de Sucre an early goal, Liga MX side Tigres came back to secure a 1-1 draw Tuesday and moves to the Copa Liberatadores quarterfinals thanks to a 3-2 aggregate victory.
Chilean referee Julio Bascunan whistled for a penalty after Universitario defender Federico Silvestre slipped in the box and brought down Damian Alvarez. Rafael Sobis put the spot kick into the back of the net in the 76th minute to give the Monterrey-based outfit some breathing room.
