Tigres UANL’s Julián Quiñones was named Liga Bancomer MX Player of the Week for the second time this season, this time for Jornada 13, by a poll of Liga MX English-language writers and broadcasters.
Quiñones had two goals in Tigres’ 2-0 win on Saturday evening against UNAM Pumas. This was his second brace of the campaign.
His contributions began in the 28th minute. A corner kick from Rafael Carioca fell awkwardly into the lap of Quiñones, who simply had to tap it in past Alfredo Saldivar and a sleepy Pumas defense.
Just a few minutes after the start of the second half, Tigres would double their lead as Pumas were caught lacking at the back yet again.
