Tigres UANL’s Julián Quiñones was named Liga Bancomer MX Player of the Week for Jornada 11 by a poll of Liga MX English-language writers and broadcasters.
After scoring for the first time in 2019 against Houston Dynamo in the CONCACAF Champions League the week prior, Quiñones scored two goals in Tigres’ 4-1 win on Saturday evening against Querétaro.
Very early in the game, Julian’s compatriot and namesake Luis Quiñones sent a cross right to Julian, who got the better of Queretaro’s Ricardo Peña and caused keeper Nicolas Navarro to give away a howler for the first goal of the game.
