Liga MX Femenil recap - 2018 Apertura Week 8

After a week off for the international break, Liga MX Femenil returned to action on Friday. They’ll be back in action mid-week too in a rare doble jornada.

Cruz Azul 0, Pumas 2: Melany Villeda extended her shutout streak to 536 minutes and Patricia Jardón and Bibiana Quintos scored for Pumas as they handed Cruz Azul their fifth loss of the season. Jardón and Quintos both scored after the 80 minute mark on high shots that goalkeeper Mariana Zárraga was unable to reach.

Necaxa 0, León 0: Andrea Rivera got her second consecutive shutout while Montserrat González got her first career shutout as Necaxa and León held each other to a scoreless draw.
