After 11 weeks, Atlas get first win of the season
It’s never pretty when it comes to Atlas, but on Friday, the Rojinegros notched their first win of the season after defeating Toluca 2-0 at the Estadio Jalisco. It took them 11 weeks and a half-empty stadium, but they got the job done against a Toluca that team that played most of the match with ten men. Albeit controversially, it was Rubens Sambueza who got sent off for the Diablos Rojos, and although this was only his first red card of the season, it severely conditioned a Toluca side that had entered the match with four straight wins across all competitions.
