The Premier League champion has added to its squad by signing the Germany international from Hannover, with Kasper Schmeichel set to face a challenge for the No. 1 spot.
Premier League champion Leicester City has signed Germany international goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler from Hannover for an undisclosed fee.
Leicester confirmed on its official website that the 27-year-old has agreed a four-year deal that runs until 2020 at the King Power Stadium, and while the fee has not been disclosed reports suggest that Zieler's Hannover contract contained a 3 million pound ($4.3 million) release clause.
Zieler has six caps for Germany and was a member of the squad that won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, although he missed out on selection for Euro 2016 after Hannover finished bottom of the Bundesliga this season.
