Leeds hires Rosler as its 5th manager of the season

LEEDS, England (AP) -- Former English power Leeds has hired its fifth manager of the season, with former Manchester City striker Uwe Rosler taking on one of the most challenging jobs in the game.

The eccentric owner of the second-tier club, Italian businessman Massimo Cellino, turned to Rosler after branding previous manager Neil Redfearn as ''weak'' and a ''baby.''

Since buying a controlling stake of the northern club in April 2014, Cellino has lived up to his nickname of ''manager-eater'' by firing three coaches and allowing Redfearn's contract to elapse. Cellino recently served a ban by the English league for a tax conviction.
