Hope Akpan has joined English League One side Bradford City on a free transfer after signing a two-year contract.
The midfielder spent last season with Burton Albion in the Championship but was unable to rescue them from the drop despite scoring twice in 29 appearances.
The former Everton player became the ninth acquisition by the side this summer and has already teamed up with the rest of the squad at their pre-season Cheshire training camp.
Head Coach Michael Collins is delighted with the arrival of the 26-year-old and is optimistic that he will add ‘strong physical presence’ to their already ‘quality’ midfield.
