Lazio Could Be Awarded 1915 Italian Title Win After Fans' Petition Investigated

Almost a century after the trophy was awarded, Lazio could be handed a share of the 1914-15 Italian league title following a fan petition to investigate that year's title.

The Eagles were scheduled to meet Genoa in that season's finale before Italy entered World War One, and the crown was eventually awarded to Genoa in 1919. However, BBC Sport reported more than 30,000 signed a petition to re-examine that season, and a decision will be cast by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) on August 4.
