There could be a surprise late challenger for the Ballon d’Or after a successful Copa America capped off an extraordinary season for Alisson.
The Brazilian goalkeeper kept five clean sheets as his country romped to continental victory for the first time in 12 years, only conceding in the final thanks to a penalty from Peruvian forward Paolo Guerrero.
Alisson was unsurprisingly awarded the Golden Glove, given to the best stopper in the tournament, which made it three in a matter of months after he scooped the respective individual prizes in the Premier League and Champions League.
